ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS)

WHEEL SPEED SENSOR

INSPECTION

Support the m otorcycle securely and raise the front

w heel o ff the ground.

M easure the clearance (air gap) betw een the sensor

and pulser ring at several points by turning the

w heel slowly.

It must be within specification.

STANDARD: 0.2 - 1.2 m m (0.01 - 0.05 in)

The sensor air gap cannot be adjusted.

If it is not within specification, check each installa

tion part for deform ation, looseness and dam age.

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

FRONT

Rem ove the right front side cowl (page 3-5).

Rem ove the front w heel speed sensor 2P (Blue) con
nector from the fram e and disconnect it.

Rem ove the bolts, sensor guide and front wheel

speed sensor.
