STARTER MOTOR

REMOVAL

• W ith the ig n itio n sw itch OFF, disconnect the b at

te ry negative (-) w ire before servicing the starter

m otor.

Remove the left under cov/l (page 3-11).

Remove the ru b b e r cap, te rm in a l n ut and disco n
nect the starter m o to r cable.

R em ove the bolts.

Remove the sta rte r m otor.
Remove the O -ring fro m the starter m otor.

STARTER MOTOR CABLE/TERMINAL NUT

RUBBER CAP

BOLTS

STARTER MOTOR

O-RING

DISASSEMBLY/INSPECTION

Remove the bolts and O-rings.
