FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
ECM POWER/GROUND LINE
INSPECTION
ENGINE DOES NOT START (MIL NO BLINKS)
1. ECM Power Input Voltage Inspection
Disconnect the ECM 33P connectors (page 6-68).
Turn the ig n itio n sw itch ON and engine stop
sw itch "O".
M easure the voltage at the ECM 33P (Black) con­
nector te rm in a l and ground.
CONNECTION: A4 (+) - Ground (-)
TOOL:
Test probe

Is th e re b a tte ry v o lta g e ?
YES - GO TO STEP 2.
NO - GO TO STEP 4.
2. ECM Ground Line Inspection
Turn the ig n itio n sw itch OFF.
Check fo r c o n tin u ity between the ECM 33P con­
nector te rm in a ls and ground.
CONNECTION: A23 - Ground
B4 - Ground
TOOL:
Test probe

Is th e re c o n tin u ity ?
YES - GO TO STEP 3.
NO - Open c ircu it in the ground line

3. Sensor Power Line Inspection
Disconnect the TP sensor 3P (Black) connector
(page 6-8).
Check fo r c o n tin u ity between the TP sensor 3P
connecto r o f the w ire harness side and ground.
CONNECTION: Yellow/red - Ground
Is th e re c o n tin u ity ?
NO - S h o rt c irc u it in the Yellow /red w ire
YES - In te rm itte n t fa ilu re
TP SENSOR 3P (BLACK) CONNECTOR
