HYDRAULIC BRAKE

ADJUSTMENT

Support the m otorcycle securely and raise the rear

w heel o ff the ground.

Release the pa'king brake lever lock.
Pull up th e parking brake lever one notch.

Loosen the lock nut.

Turn the adjust bolt until you feel resistance when

turn the rear wheel by you r hand.

Hold the adjust bolt and tighten the lock nut.

Release the parking brake lever lock.
M ake sure the rear w heel turns sm oothly.

Pull the parking brake lever slow ly and check the

parking brake lever stroke.

STANDARD:

3 - 6 notches

ALL STROKE: 9 notches

If the parking brake lever stroke is out of specifica

tion, adjust again.

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

PARKING BRAKE LEVER LINK

Rem ove the right front side cow l (page 3-5).

Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.

Loosen the parking brake cable lock nut, then dis

connect the p arking brake cable from the lever link.

Rem ove the belts and parking brake lever link.

R em ove the sc-ew and parking brake switch.

Installation is in the reverse order of rem oval.
