ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS)
Route the sensor
wire properly
(page 1-20).
Route the sensor
w ire properly
(page 1-20).
Check that there is iron or o th er m agnetic deposits
betw een the pulser ring and front w heel spaed sen­
sor.
Rem ove any deposits.
Check the sensor tip for defo rm ation or dam age
(e.g., chipped pulser ring teeth).
Replace the front w heel speed sensor if necessary.
Installation is in the reverse o rd er o f removal.
A fter installing the speed sensor, M easure the clear­
ance (air gap) betw een the sensor and pulser ring
(page 18-21).
REAR
R em ove the rear brake pads (page 17-15).
R em ove the m ain seat (page 3-4).
Disconnect the rear w heel speed sensor 2P lOrange)
connector.
R em ove the bolts and rear w heel speed sensor.
Check that there is no iron or o th er magnetic depos­
its between the pulser ring and rear wheel speed
sensor.
R em ove any deposits.
Check the sensor tip fo r defo rm ation or dam age
(e.g., chipped pulser ring teeth).
Replace the speed sensor if necessary.
Installation is in the reverse o rd er o f removal.
A fter installing the speed sensor, M easure the clear­
ance (air gap) betw een the sensor and pulser ring
(page 18-21).
