5. EOP Sensor Input Voltage Line Open Circuit
Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the TCM 33P (Black) connector.
Check for continuity between the EOP sensor 3P
connector and TCM 33P (Black) connector of the
wire harness side.
Connection: A8 (Black/blue) - Black/blue
TOOL:
Test probe

Is there c o n tin u ity ?
YES
- Replace the
TCM
w ith a new one, and
recheck
(HFT
initialization procedjre:
page 11-93).
NO
- Open circuit in Black/blue wire.
DTC 9-2 (EOP SENSOR HIGH
VOLTAGE)
• Before starting inspection, Check fo r loose or
poor connectors on the EOP sensor 3P connector
and TCM 33P (Black) connector, then check the
DTC.
1. EOP Sensor System Inspection
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch " O '.
Check the EOP sensor w ith the HDS.
Is a b o u t 5 V in d ic a te d ?
YES
- GO TO STEP 2.
NO
- • Interm ittent failure.
• Loose or poorly connected EOP sen
sor and TCM connector.
2. EOP Sensor Output Voltage Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the EOP sensor 3P connector.
Turn the ig n itio n sw itch ON and engine stop
switch " O ' .
Check fo r continuity at the EOP sensor connector
term inals of the w ire harness side.
Connection: Yellow /black (+) - Green/black (-)
Is th e voltage w ith in 4.75 - 5.25 V?
YES
- Faulty EOP sensor.
NO
- GO TO STEP 3.
