FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)

IACV

INSPECTION

The IACV is installed on the th ro ttle body and is

operated by the step m otor. W hen the ignition
sw itch is turned ON, the IACV operates fo r a few
seconds.

Check the step m o to r operating (beep) sound w ith

the ig n itio n sw itch tu rn e d ON.

NOTE:

The IACV o p e ra tio n can be checked visu a lly as fo l

low ing:

1. Remove the IACV (page 6-62).

2. Connect the IACV 4P (Black) connector and turn

the ig n itio n sw itch ON.

REMOVAL

• A lw ays clean th e th ro ttle body before the IACV

rem oval to prevent d irt and debris fro m entering

the IACV passage.

Remove the air cleaner housing (page 6-50).

Remove the screws, IACV cover and IACV body.
