CYLINDER HEAD/VALVE
A p p ly e n g in e oil to th e v a lv e ad ju s tin g s c re w lock
nut threads and seating surface.
Install th e v a lv e ad ju s tin g screw a n d lock nut.
NOTE:
• The rocker arms are identified by the stamped
marks:
"IN": In take rocker a rm
"EX": E xhau st rocker arm
• T h e intake rocker a rm s h aft has tw o holes on
each end.
• T h e e x h a u s t rocker arm s h aft has tw o g ro o v e s
o n each en d.
A p p ly m o ly b d e n u m disu lfid e o il s o lu tio n to th e s lid ­
ing su rface o f th e shaft.
Install th e rocker a rm s a n d shafts.
A lig n th e intake ro cker arm s h a ft holes w ith th e
h o ld e r holes.
A lig n th e e x h a u s t rocker arm s h a ft g ro o v e s w ith th e
h o ld e r holes.
CAMSHAFT INSTALLATION
NOTE:
• T h e c a m s h a fts a re id en tified by th e s ta m p e d
marks:
"F": F ro n t c y lin d e r c a m sh aft
"R": R ear c y lin d e r c am sh aft
• If both (fro n t a n d rear) c am sh afts w e re re m o v e d ,
install th e fr o n t cy lin d e r c a m s h a ft firs t, th en
install th e re a r c y lin d e r c am sh aft.
• If th e rear c y lin d e r head w a s n o t serviced,
re m o v e th e re a r cy lin d e r h e a d c o v e r to check th e
c a m s h a ft position .
• If th e fro n t c y lin d e r head w a s not serviced,
re m o v e th e fro n t c y lin d e r h ead co ver to check
th e c a m s h a ft position .
