FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
MIL CIRCUIT INSPECTION
If the engine can be started but the MIL does not
com e on w hen the ig n itio n sw itch ON and engine
stop switch "O", check the fo llo w s:
Check for o peration o f the co m b in a tio n m eter fu n c ­
tio n properly.
- If they do n ot fu n ctio n , check the com bination
m eter pow er in p u t line (page 22-9).
- If they fu n c tio n properly, check the follow s:
T urn the ig n itio n sw itch OFF.
Disconnect the ECM 33P connectors.
G round the A20 te rm in a l o f the w ire harness side
connector w ith a ju m p e r w ire.
TOOL:
Test probe
07ZAJ-RDJA110
Turn the ig n itio n sw itch ON and engine stop sw itch
"O", the MIL should com e on.
- If the MIL com e on, replace the ECM w ith a new
one.
- If the MIL does n ot com e on, check fo r open c ir­
c u it in the W hite /b lu e w ire between the com bina­
tion m eter ond ECM.
If the w ire is OK, replace the co m bination meter.
