FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
DTC 9-2 (IAT SENSOR HIGH VOLTAGE)
• Before starting the inspection, check fo r loose or
poor contact on the IAT sensor connecto r and
recheck the DTC.
1. IAT Sensor System Inspection
Turn the ig n itio n sw itch ON and engine stop
sw itch " O
Check the IAT sensor w ith the HDS pocket tester.
Is a b o u t 5 V in d ic a te d ?
YES
- G O TO STEP 2.
NO
- • In te rm itte n t fa ilu re
• Loose or p o o r contact on the IAT
sensor connector
2. IAT Sensor Inspection
Turn the ign tio n sw itch OFF.
Remove the center cow l (page 3-6).
Disconnect the IAT sensor 2P (Gray) connecto-.
Connect the IAT sensor te rm in a ls w ith a ju m p e r
w ire.
Connection: Gray/blue - Green/orange
Turn the ig n itio n sw itch ON and engine stop
sw itch " Q ".
Check the IAT sensor w ith the HDS pocket tester.
Is a b o u t 0 V ind ica te d ?
YES
- Faulty IAT sensor
NO
- G O TO STEP 3.

IAT Sensor Output Line Inspection
Disconnect the ECM 33P connectors.
Check fo r co n tin u ity at the G ray/blue and Green/
orange w ire between the IAT sensor 2P (Gray)
connector te rm in a ls and the ECM 33P connec
tors.
CONNECTION: B29 - Gray/blue
A18 - Green/orange
TOOL:
Test probe

YES
- Replace the ECM w ith a know n good
one, and recheck.
NO
- • Open c ircu it in G ray/blue w ire
• Open c ircu it in G reen/orange w ire
