ELECTRIC STARTER

Install a new O -rings to the bolts.

Install and lig h te n the bolts securely.

INSTALLATION

Install the u pper b o lt and support the bolt.

A p p ly engine oil to a new O -ring and install it to the
starter m o to r groove.

Install th e starter m o to r to the crankcase and tig h te n

the bolts.

Route the cable

C onnect the starter m o to r cable.

properly

Install and tig h te n the term in a l n ut to th e specified

(page 1-20).

torque.

TORQUE: 10 N m (1.0 kgf-m, 7 Ibf-ft)

Install the ru b b e r cap securely.

Install the left under cow l (page 3-11).

C onnect the battery negative (-) w ire (page 19-6).
