2. Lock Up Solenoid Valve Operate Inspection
Connect a 12 V battery to the lock up solenoid
valve 2P connector terminals.
Check that air does not flo w (A) to (C). A ir should
flo w (A) to (B).
Does th e lo ck up s o le n o id valve operate?
YES
- GO TO STEP 3.
NO
- Faulty lock up solenoid valve.
3. Lock Up Solenoid Valve Line Open Circuit
Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the TCM 33P (Black) connector.
Check for continuity between the w ire harness
side lock up solenoid valve (Gray) connector ter
minals and TCM connector terminals.
Connection: A1 (Yellow) - Yellow
Connection: A23 (Light green) - Light green
TOOL:
Test probe

Is there c o n tin u ity ?
YES
- GO TO STEP 4.
NO
- • Open circuit in Yellow wire
• Open circuit in Light green wire
4. Lock Up Solenoid Valve Line Short Circuit
Inspection
Check for continuity between the w ire harness
side lock up solenoid valve (Gray) connector ter
minal and ground.
Connection: Yellow - Ground
Light green - Ground
Is th e re c o n tin u ity ?
YES
- • Short circuit in Yellow wire.
• Short circuit in Light green wire.
NO
- Replace the TCM w ith a new one, and
recheck (HFT initialization procedure:
page 11-93).
