ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS)
PROBLEM CODE 31, 32, 33,34, 37 or 38
(Solenoid Valve)
1. Failure Reproduction
Erase the problem code (page 18-7).
Test ride the motorcycle above 30 km/h (18 mph).
Retrieve the problem code (page 18-6).

YES - Faulty ABS m odulator.
NO - Solenoid valve is norm al (tem porary
failure).
PROBLEM CODE 51, 52 or 53
(Pump M otor)
1. Fuse Inspection
Check the ABS MOTOR fuse (30 A) in the fuse
box fo r blown.
Is th e fuse b lo w n ?
YES - GO TO STEP 2.
NO - GO TO STEP 3.
2. M o to r P o w er Input Line S hort Circuit Inspection
Disconnect the ABS m odulator 25P connector.
Check fo r continuity between the ABS m odulator
25P connector of the w ire harness side and
ground w ith ABS MOTOR fuse rem oved.
C ONNECTIO N: R e d -G ro u n d
Is there c o n tin u ity ?
YES - Short circuit in Red w ire betw een the
fuse box and ABS m odulator.
NO - T em po rary failure. Replace the ABS
M O TO R fuse <30 A) w ith a new one and
recheck.
