Important • Align the paper guides against the paper to prevent paper jams or errors. If the machine cannot
detect a tray, use Tray 5.
z
Paper Type
Select the type of paper to load in the trays.
For information about paper types available on the machine, refer to "Supported Paper Type/Loadable Quantity/Paper Feed
Method" (P.92).
z
Paper Size
You can load both standard size paper and non-standard size paper. When you load non-
standard size paper, select [Custom Size], and then set the size in the X (width) and the Y
(length). The acceptable range may vary depending on the selected tray.
When you load non-standard size paper in Trays 1 to 3, set the size in the X (width)
between 182 and 488 mm and the Y (length) between 140 and 330 mm in 1 mm
increments.
When using Tray 6 (HCF B1), you can load standard size paper only. Select [Auto Detect].
When you load non-standard size paper in Tray 6 (HCF B1-S), select [Custom Size], and
then set the size in the X (width) between 148 and 488 mm and the Y (length) between
100 and 330 mm in 1 mm increments.
When you load non-standard size paper in Tray 6 and Tray 7 (High Capacity Feeder C3-
DS), select [Custom Size], and then set the size in the X (width) between 148 and 488 mm
and the Y (length) between 98 and 330 mm in 1 mm increments.
Important • When you load non-standard size paper whose length (Y) is 100 to 181 mm in Tray 6 (HCF B1-S), be
sure to use the Post Card Kit. When you load non-standard size paper whose length (Y) is 98 to 181
mm in Trays 6 and 7 (High Capacity Feeder C3-DS), be sure to use the Post Card Kit. Otherwise, an
error and paper jam occur. On the other hand, when you load non-standard size paper whose length
(Y) is 182 mm or more in the tray, be sure to remove the Post Card Kit from the tray. Otherwise, a
paper jam occurs.

Paper Type & Paper Weight
You can select the types and weight of paper loaded in a tray.
For more information, refer to "Supported Paper Type/Loadable Quantity/Paper Feed Method" (P.92).

Paper Color
Set the color of paper. The paper color selected here is displayed as the paper color on the
[Paper Supply] screen to the left of [Type] on the [Paper Supply] screen.
z Auto Paper Select
Set the condition for Auto Paper selection. When the color mode selected is used, Auto
Paper selection is enabled. Select from [All Colors], [Color], and [Black & White].
Automatic tray selection means that a tray containing the appropriate paper is
automatically selected by the machine for copying or printing.
z Adjust Paper Curl
Adjust settings for removing curl from paper sheets. Select from [Default Value], [Type A],
[Type B], and [Type C], or [Type 1] to [Type 10].
Note • Only pre-registered adjustment types are displayed. You can register a adjustment type under
[Tools] > [System Settings] > [Common Service Settings] > [Paper Tray Settings] > [Custom Paper
Settings] > [Adjust Paper Curl], or under [Tools] > [System Settings] > [Common Service Settings] >
[Maintenance] > [Adjust Paper Curl].

z Alignment Adjustment
Adjust settings for printed images (perpendicularity (rhombic distortion), skew, scale, and
print position). You can select from 80 adjustment types.
