requested to do it if the transfer failure occurs although Adjust Image Transfer is executed.
Set the adjustment settings between 0 and 100% in 1 % increments.
Note
•
When the voltage ratio at the second transfer roll is too high or too low for the paper to use, the
transfer failure occurs. You are required to adjust the ratio if the failure occurs.
Adjust Paper Speed at Transfer Module
When an irregular color occurring in using heavyweight paper, adjusting the paper speed at
the transfer module could enable to improve the failure. You are requested to do it if the
transfer failure occurs although Adjust Image Transfer is executed. Set the adjustment
value between -0.5 and 0.5 % in 0.01 % increments.
Note
•
When the paper speed at the second transfer roll is too fast or too slow for the paper to use, the
transfer failure occurs. You are required to adjust the speed if the failure occurs.
Adjust Fusing Temperature
When toner comes off from a paper, which may occur in a special paper, increasing the heat
of the Fusing Unit could enable to improve to come off toner.
Set the temperature in 1 degree increments.
Important •
Before setting, you are required to contact our Customer Support Center.

Toner may come off from paper because lowering the temperature too much causes less fusing of
the high density image.
•
Paper jam at the fusing exfoliation part may occur if you increase the temperature too much when
printing on a see-through paper.
Note
•
The default value is 0. Confirm the print result by Sample Set when changing the setting.
•
Restore the value to the default after printing, because the environmental conditions vary.
Tray Heater
This function weakens adhesive of a paper and another by making air warm in sending out
the air by using Adjust Air Assist Values and paper, thus enables to prevent paper jam and
multifeed.
You can select [Disabled] or [Enabled]. Selecting [Enabled] may affect the image quality
because warm air is sent out and therefore some parts of the paper dry out. When the image
quality is lost, select [Disabled] and stop the tray heater. If you select [Disabled], multi-feed
may increase.

Multi-Feed Detection
Set whether or not to detect a multi-feed. Select [On] or [Off].
If misdetection occurs frequently, which may occur in using a see-through paper, set to [Off].

Paper Tray Attributes
You can set the size and type of paper loaded in trays.
When loading envelopes in Tray 6 (optional) or Tray 7 (optional), select [Envelope Feeder]
on the screen.
For more information, refer to "Changing the Paper Settings" (P.123).
Change Settings
Select this button, if you change the paper size for the tray or the setting of auto paper
selection.
When you load non-standard size paper in a tray, select [Custom Size], and specify the width
and length. When you load standard size paper in a tray, select [Auto Detect].
