Power-Up LED Displays
The system completes a series of tests and other functions
whenever you turn on the system power. If the system halts at
one of these functions, the diagnostic LEDs display a code that
indicates where in the power-up sequence the system halted.
Table D-33 lists the hexadecimal equivalent of the power-up
LED displays and what they indicate about the power-up
sequence.

ff Hardware initialization has not started.
3f Firmware initialization started. First memory module test
started.
3e Firmware initialization started. Calibration of millisecond
delay loop begun.
3d Firmware initialization started. Power-up versus reset code
has started to run.
3b Console terminal initialization started.
37 Firmware began to calculate the cache size.
36 Firmware began memory tests.
35 Firmware initialized I/O ASIC to a known state.
x b Module initialization started. The x represents the slot
number of the base system or option module being initialized.
x 3 An option module reported an error during the power-up
self-test. The x represents the slot number of the option
module.
x 2 Firmware in an individual module started to execute. The x
represents the slot number of the module with the firmware
that has started to execute.
