If no VT320 terminal is available
,
1.
Replace the graphics module.
2.
Turn on the system unit power.
3.
Troubleshoot any errors that the power-up self-test
reports.
Troubleshooting when the right diagnostic LED display is 1011 and the
system has no graphics module
1.
Turn off the system unit power.
2.
Disconnect the terminal from the communications
connector.
3.
Turn on the system unit power and check the results of the
power-up self-test.
4.
If the power-up self-test still stops and the right diagnostic
display is 1011
, replace the system module. Refer to
‘‘Removing and Installing a System Module’’ in Chapter 5
for directions.
If the power-up self-test does not stop
, the terminal or cable
is faulty. Isolate and replace the bad part.
