How to remove the power supply fan assembly
1.
Turn off the system power.
2.
Disconnect the monitor power cord (if present) and system
unit power cords.
3.
Remove the power supply from the system unit. Refer to
‘‘Removing and Installing the Power Supply’’ section for
instructions.
4.
Remove the eight screws that hold the fan assembly to the
power supply base.
5.
Hold the fan assembly away from the power supply base.
6.
If you are installing a new fan assembly, disconnect the fan
assembly power cord.
7.
Set aside the old fans to be returned.
How to install the power supply fan assembly
1.
Make sure the fan assembly power cord is connected
properly to the fan assembly power connector.
2.
Align the screw holes on the fan assembly housing and
power supply base. Then replace the eight screws that hold
the fan to the power supply base.
3.
Connect the system unit and monitor power cords.
