How to remove a memory module
1.
Remove the removable media drive panel. Refer to
‘‘Removing and Installing the Removable Media Drive
Panel’’ on page 6-10 for directions.

To identify the slot that holds the memory module you want
to replace, look at the slot numbers printed beside each
memory module slot.
The slot farthest from the power supply is the high
memory bank (D16-31).
The slot nearest the power supply is the low memory
bank (D0-15).
3.
Use your thumbs to push the memory module latches away
from the module. Then tilt the module toward the front of
the system unit as shown in Figure 5-14.
Caution:
There is not enough room to remove a memory module
unless it is at the front of the line. Remove any memory modules
between the module you are removing and the front of the system
unit first.

Lift the memory module out of the slot.
