Prerequisites
Before you proceed with the CTS Manager installation, the servers and applications within your network
must be configured so that Cisco TelePresence Manager can find the resources and information needed
to initialize the installation. Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 7.0.2 or a later release
software should already be installed and configured. For more information refer to
Chapter 1,
“Configuring Cisco Unified Communications Manager for the Cisco TelePresence System.”
Note
Cisco recommends that you configure the system using static IP addressing so it will be easy to manage.
If you see the test connection failure message in a non-DNS environment, you may need to specify IP
addresses for your Cisco Unified CM server(s) and other network devices. You can change any server
name values in Cisco Unified Communications Manager. See the
“Configuring Cisco Unified CM
Server Names” section on page 6-17
.
Pre-Configuration Guidelines for Running Cisco Unified CM with CTS Manager
Table 6-2
contains guidelines for pre-configuring Cisco Unified CM to run Cisco TelePresence Manager.
Note
The system uses either Microsoft Exchange or IBM Domino to schedule meetings. See the
“Configuring
Microsoft Exchange for CTS Manager” section on page 6-4
