Forum Gateway 560 Connection via PCM-V Connection

Configuration Steps

The following configurations have to be made for connected
Forum Gateways 560 in the

Configurator

on the web console of the

Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system:

1.

Go to the

Telephony: Gateways

menu. Create the new configuration

entries for the two newly installed Forum Gateways 560 there.

Configurator: Telephony: Gateways: PCM configured

2.

If both Forum Gateways 560 had already been configured as separate
Forum Gateways 560, change their configuration. The following settings
are important for two Forum Gateways 560 connected to one another:

– The PCM slave Forum Gateway 560 has to have its PCM master
Forum Gateway 560 configured by you. This is done via the

PCM confi-

gured

picklist in the configuration dialogue.

– There is an overview of the current configuration on the
Forum Gateways 560 status page. Check there to see whether the
correct frame number is set for each Forum Gateway 560 in the

Frame

number

column of the table. The PCM master has the frame number = “1”;

the PCM slave has the frame number = “2”. If the switches are set
otherwise the Forum Gateway 560 is not operational!
