3. Group address : Enter the group addresses in these fields (refer to section
Group address on page 305).
4. Command : Select one of the following commands from the list.
– switch on : Switch is switched on
– switch off : Switch is switched off
– switch over : Switch status is changed.
5. Function of the key LED : If the action needs to be triggered with a
function key on the system phone, select the desired setting for the
behaviour of the key LED (also see the
Configuring the Key LED Function
on the System Phone starting on page 310 chapter).
6. Confirm your settings with Apply .
Configuring Switches with Timeout
A switch with timeout functionality, for instance, allows you to control the
light in the stairwell.
Configuration of an action Switch with timeout
1. Action : Enter a name for the action (max. 20 characters). This name serves
as an assignment criterion for connecting the action with a terminal or an
application of the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system.
2. Type : Select the Switch with timeout setting.
3. Group address : Enter the group addresses in these fields (refer to section
Group address on page 305).
4. Command : Select one of the following commands from the list.
– switch on : Switch is switched on
– switch off : Switch is switched off
