Note: The initial status of the actor can't be polled from the communi-
cations system. Rebooting the communications system can
therefore cause erroneous LED indications.
Applications
Using the Remote switching function, the following applications can be set
up on the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system:
● Perform action on Device free / Device busy
●
Perform action if the ACD queue reaches a critical size (queue indication
changes to red or from red to yellow or green).
● Perform action when a function key is pressed on the system phone
Perform Action on Device free / Device busy
For every terminal, you can define actions for the states Device free and
Device busy .
This function can be used for door station switching operations:
● The door station is automatically switched off when the device is free.
● The door station is automatically switched on when the device is busy.
You can set up these functions on all terminal types. As soon as an IP address
for the remote switching IP router was entered, in the Configurator the
required fields will appear in the terminal configuration menus:
● Remote switching Action: Device free
● Remote switching Action: Device busy
