Installation

CAUTION!

To prevent data loss, first shut down the Forum 5004/
5008/5012 by entering the code procedure

Install the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system near an easily-
accessible mains power socket so that the plug can be quickly pulled out of
the power socket in a hazardous situation.

Power supply

Use only the power cord provided to connect the Forum 5004/5008/5012
to the mains power supply.

Power supply for multiple hardware units

The wall version hardware units have a 3-pin AC cable port (C19) for power
supply on the right side of their housing and a 3-pin AC cable plug (C20) for
power supply of up to 3 additional hardware units on the left side of their
housing. When connecting the power supply of 2 hardware units, use only the
3-pin AC cable adapters supplied in the Forum 5004 / 5008 / 5012
