to screw the screws into the wall, leaving 4 mm extending outwards. After
hanging up all hardware units, fasten them with the lower fixing screws (2-8
screws). Open the service panel of each hardware unit to do so.

Opening and Closing Service Panel

The Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system hardware units are
designed for you to mount them yourself.

DANGER!

Dangerous voltage in device! You may not open the
housing. Pull the plug out of the power socket before
opening the service panel and connecting any lines/
terminals! Failure to do so may cause danger to life from
electric shock!

For your own safety, please read the

Safety Precautions

starting on page 28.

As with all highly sensitive electronic devices, static charges can destroy
components in a fraction of a second. For this reason, you should first pick up
your tool then touch an earthed metal object (e.g. a radiator), before touching
any connections or components inside the device.

CAUTION!

Static charges can damage the Forum 5004/
5008/5012’s electronic components.

Get to the hardware unit connection panel by opening the service panel.
There are no directly accessible circuits operating under dangerous voltage
on the connection panel. You must still switch off all power to the device
when performing any kind of installation. Pull the plug out of the mains
power supply socket.

Shut down the Forum 5004/5008/5012 by entering the code
procedure
