Voice over IP (VoIP)

Configuration of the SIP EIS (device configuration). The configuration of 
the SIP EIS must be coordinated with the configuration of the 
Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications systems. This is the only way 
to ensure fault-free operation. You can find details on the configuration of 
the SIP EIS in the documentation provided by the relevant manufacturer. 

In the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system, configure a SIP EIS 
in the 

Configurator

, menu 

Telephony

: 

Devices

: 

VoIP phones

A: SIP EIS configuration dialog
B: Display of the configuration parameters for the SIP EIS

1. System configuration:

 Select the device type 

SIP Doorstation

. Select 

Name

 as the type of installed SIP EIS from the list. The list contains a 

selection of SIP EISs from various manufacturers. If the SIP EIS is not 
included in this list, select the 

SIP Door Phone

 setting. 

Assign a VoIP profile containing the 

DTMF (RFC 4733) (event)

 codec to the 

SIP EIS. Entry of the MAC address is optional. If you specify a MAC address, 
this will be used to form the necessary SIP parameters, e.g. the SIP ID. 

Select the actuator to be used to open the door. Select the 

Actuator 

Internal

 setting if the SIP EIS actuator should be used. Select the
