Programming function keys
The function keys are configured either on the web console or on the system
phone.
● Hunt group call function keys for system phones and SIP system phones
can be programmed on the web console (in the Configurator , menu Tele-
phony : Devices : System phones ). For more information on how to
programme the function keys, refer to the online help function
● Alternatively, hunt group call function keys can be programmed on a
system phone via the main menu. For more information on how to
programme the function keys, refer to the operating instructions for the
system phones
User authorisation
The system administrator generally adapts the function keys on users' system
phones. However, using the
Program function keys setting, users can also be
authorised to programme function keys on their system phones. This enables
the members of a hunt group to change the label for a function key prescribed
by the system administrator, for example. Authorisation is provided in the
Configurator , menu User manager : User groups .
Enabling Operation Via “Forum CTI”
In addition to using their terminal, group members can also use the
“Forum CTI” application to log into and out of hunt groups.
The application can be used in connection with any terminal that can be used
on the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system, i.e. by group
members using a DECT terminal or an analogue phone.
User authorisation
To be able to use the application, the authorisation Forum CTI is required. This
authorisation is of particular benefit for group members who do not have a
system phone. Authorisation is provided in the
Configurator , menu User
manager : User groups .
