Operating a Forum Gateway 560 via Router

Start up a browser on the PC. Enter an address into the address field of
the browser

confirming entry. The address is determined by the

frame coding of the Forum Gateway 560:

PCM master frame coding: http://192.168.99.254/boot.asp
PCM slave frame coding: http://192.168.99.252/boot.asp

A single Forum Gateway 560 without PCM-V connection is always a “PCM
master”.

Activate the power supply for the Forum Gateway 560. Wait 30 seconds
until the LED 2 of the central control module Forum 550 Card main proc-
essor blinks green and yellow alternatingly. Now confirm the entry in the
browser address field to call the web interface of the booter.

If you are not using a direct connection between the PC and the
Forum Gateway 560 there may be an address conflict. You have just
configured a Forum Gateway 560 under the IP address 192.168.254, e.g.,
and soon want to configure a second Forum Gateway 560 under the
same IP address. The ARP cache for assigning MAC addresses to IP
addresses on your PC prevents you from reaching the second
Forum Gateway 560. In this case you have to delete the ARP clipboard.
You can wait awhile; you can briefly separate the line with some Ethernet
cards or you can enter a delete command. Alternatively you can also
assign the desired MAC address statically.
