5. Function of the key LED : If the action needs to be triggered with a
function key on the system phone, select the desired setting for the
behaviour of the key LED (also see the
Configuring the Key LED Function
on the System Phone starting on page 310 chapter).
6. Timeout : This timer controls the time span after which the Forum 5004/
5008/5012 communications system sends the opposite command to bus
participant.
7. Confirm your settings with Apply .
Configuring a Flashing Indicator
A flashing indicator allows you to control alarm messages, also refer to the
Perform Action when ACD Queue Full starting on page 312 chapter.
Configuration of an action Flashing indicator
1. Action : Enter a name for the action (max. 20 characters). This name serves
as an assignment criterion for connecting the action with a terminal or an
application of the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system.
2. Type : Select the Flashing indicator setting.
3. Group address : Enter the group addresses in these fields (refer to section
Group address on page 305).
4. Command : Select one of the following commands from the list.
– on : Flashing is switched on
– off : Flashing is switched off
– switch over : Flashing status is switched. Example: Permanent flashing is
switched off.
