Forum Gateway 560 Installation

Notes on Installing Terminals

Only devices that supply safety extra-low voltage (SELV) may be connected
to a Forum Gateway 560. Proper use of standard terminals will satisfy this
requirement.

The analogue interfaces may only be used to connect terminals that meet the
appropriate technical requirements. For details, refer to

Use a shielded Ethernet cable (STP cable, Shielded Twisted Pair cable) to
connect a Forum Gateway 560 to a Local Area Network (LAN).

Installation, Ambient Conditions

The ambient temperature for operating a Forum Gateway 560 must be
b5 °C and +40 °C.

To maintain a safe ambient temperature, install a Forum Gateway 560 in a
properly ventilated location, away from sources of direct heat.

Mount a Forum Gateway 560:

●

not in front of or above heat sources such as radiators,

●

not in direct sunlight,

●

not behind curtains,

●

not in small, unventilated, damp rooms,

●

not near flammable materials,

●

nor near high-frequency devices such as transmitter and radiotherapy or
similar apparatus.

If a Forum Gateway 560 is to be installed together with other electronic
equipment in a 19” cabinet, ensure that the air intake temperature for the
Forum Gateway 560 does not 40 °C.
