Configuration
Automatic Call Recording
263
The communications system starts recording the call if
the feature is activated
for the currently valid time group of the called or occupied call number when
the connection is started. If the time group is changed during the call and
recording is not activated for the new time group, the recording is not stopped.
If the call is transferred during a change in time group and a different
recording configuration applies for the current call segment, the call is still
recorded according to the initially applicable configuration or not recorded.
Configuration tip for complying with data protection requirements
There is
no
audible signal to indicate the start of automatic call recording.
However, for
data protection reasons
, the external party must be informed
that the call is being recorded.
To ensure this information is provided, you can configure an announcement in
the call distribution for
incoming
calls (
Call distribution
:
Incoming
and
Call
distribution
:
Incoming DDI
). This announcement is then played before the
call starts and provides the relevant information for the external party. You
can find more information about the announcements that can be configured
in the call distribution in the online help.
Announcements cannot be configured in the call distribution for
outgoing
calls. It is therefore
essential
that an internal user who has called an external
party informs the external party that the subsequent call is being recorded.
Any persons using the communications system must be made aware of the
duty to provide this information.
Call distribution for incoming and outgoing calls on MSN lines
MSN lines can be ISDN or SIP lines. Automatic call recording can be activated
per call number and per time group for each external call number (MSN or SIP
account). This setting is configured for
incoming and outgoing
calls in the
Configurator
, menu
Telephony
:
Call distribution
:
Incoming
.
In the case of an outgoing connection via an ISDN line or an SIP account, the
particular call number that is occupied depends on various configuration
parameters. These include, for example, the route configuration, overflow
bundle or SIP reference lines. When the outgoing occupied call number has
been established, the communications system checks whether the
subsequent call in the currently valid time group is to be recorded.
Call distribution for incoming calls on DDI lines
Connections via DDI lines can be established via ISDN (S
0
or S
2M
) and via SIP.
Automatic call recording can be activated per time group for each external call
