Configuring DECT

DECT Networks

DECT base stations on the gateway 01 and DECT-over-IP base stations with
these DECT terminals, the same code is also used for SARI and PARI in the IP-
DECT area. Older DECT terminals can be operated in any DECT area although
roaming in another DECT area is not available with these terminals. In this
case the DECT terminal is checked in with the PARK of the DECT area where
the DECT terminal is located during check-in. The following table provides an
overview of the DECT terminals supported.

Configuring DECT

You can configure a DECT network with multiple DECT areas in the

Configurator

of the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system.

Configuring this kind of DECT network requires having one or more previously
configured and connected Forum Gateways 560. Alongside the obligatory
media gateway interface cards Forum 550 Media Gateway Card, each
Forum Gateway 560 with which you wish to connect DECT base stations also
requires a Forum 550 Card 8 digital extensions module.
