IP Cameras
You can operate IP cameras in the Forum 5004/5008/5012
communications system and use them for the following purposes:
●
IP cameras can be used as
door cameras
in conjunction with the entrance
intercom systems (EIS) configured in the communications system. These
can be IP-based (SIP) EIS or analogue EIS.
●
IP cameras can also be used generally for
monitoring
rooms, parts of
buildings or outdoor areas.
As a general rule, IP cameras provide
video streams
in various formats
(*.mpeg or *.mjpeg) or
frames
in *.jpeg format. The images sent by an IP
camera can be displayed on “Forum IPhone 5025/5030/5040” SIP system
telephones and in the “Forum CTI” application by users with the appropriate
authorisation.
●
Frames
are displayed on “Forum IPhone 5025/5030/5040” SIP system
telephones. These frames are refreshed at intervals of 2 to 3 seconds,
giving the impression of a moving image. To display camera images on an
SIP system telephone, a corresponding function key must be programmed
for the telephone.
●
Either a
video stream
or a
still image
can be displayed in the “Forum CTI”
application. With this application, even users who do not have an SIP
system telephone can access IP cameras.
You can configure up to 10 IP cameras. No licence is required to operate IP
cameras in the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system.
Technical Requirements
To display camera images on SIP system telephones and in the CTI application,
the IP cameras must meet the requirements set out below.
●
The camera images are accessed by SIP system telephones and the CTI
application by calling up appropriately configured URLs (HTTP request).
The IP camera must therefore be equipped with an integrated
HTTP server
(web server).
