Forum 550 Card 8 S0/T0: Terminating resistors deactivated

Both ends of the S

bus are terminated by terminating resistors; the

terminating resistors must be deactivated (DIP switches set to “1 2”).

You can connect a Forum Gateway 560 to the NTBA or to a second PBX
system for PBX networking (see also

PBX Networking

starting on page 228).

To connect the Forum Gateway 560 to the NTBA, wire pins 3, 4, 5, 6 of the
NTBA and of the Forum 5004/5008/5012 1:1.

In order to establish a direct connection between a Forum Gateway 560 and
another TC system via the external S

ports use the RJ45 sockets of the

devices and connect them by means of a crossed twisted-pair cable. The
distance between the two devices must not exceed 1000 metres.
