Alternative: DHCP via call server

With this network configuration, the Forum 5004/5008/5012 
communications system assigns DHCP addresses in a LAN. This configuration 
can be used as an alternative. You need to switch off the DHCP function of an 
existing Internet router. 

As with the previous example configuration, you configure an IP address for 
the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system that matches the 
address range of the Internet router. Enter the IP address of the Internet 
router into the 

DNS server

 and 

Gateway address

 input fields.
