Programming Function Keys for Controlling
Automatic Recording
In principle, automatic call recording is possible irrespective of the terminal
used by the internal user. A function key can be set up for users with a (U
pn
/
SIP/IP) system telephone that enables them to control and – with the
corresponding
authorisation – cancel automatic call recording.
Function keys can only be configured on (U
pn
/SIP/IP) system telephones. As
such, users working with a different type of terminal (e.g. a DECT terminal or
a standard telephone) cannot control or cancel call recording.
The LED of the programmed function key lights up when the current call is
being recorded. To cancel the recording, the user must press the function key
(the LED is switched off). The LED of the function key also switches off if the
communications system ends the recording for any reason (e.g. if the storage
medium is full).
The function key is programmed on the web console (in the Configurator ,
menu Telephony : Devices : System phones , setting: Auto recording status ).

function keys.
Note: It is only possible to cancel call recording on a system tele-
phone, but not in the
Forum CTI application.
