Installation

Scope of Delivery

The scope of delivery for each hardware unit (wall version) consists of:

●

1 hardware unit of the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system
(Forum 5004, Forum 5008 or Forum 5012)

●

1 mains power cable

●

One set of mounting screws and dowels

●

1 drilling template

●

1 CD containing complete documentation and software

There are special accessories available for connecting multiple hardware
units to a(n) Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system
(Forum 5004 / 5008 / 5012 Interconnecting Kit). This contains:

●

1 power connector

●

2 housing couplings

●

4 housing coupling screws

●

1 RJ45 patch cable

Safety Precautions

Intended usage

The Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system is designed for
operation on an internet router (also via hub or switch). The communications
system and internet router must be interconnected via corded Ethernet line.

The Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system is not designed to be
used with other telecommunications accesses (e.g. ISDN or analogue lines)
and can lead to malfunction or damage to the Forum 5004/5008/5012
communications system and to the network.

Installation

The Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system hardware units may
only be installed inside buildings. The hardware units (wall version) may only
be operated when mounted vertically on the wall. This positioning only
guarantees sufficient ventilation.
