Operating a Forum Gateway 560 via Router

Forum Gateway 560

– Single port: Using an Ethernet line, establish a direct connection
between the PC Ethernet port and the Forum Gateway 560 Ethernet
port. This avoids potential address conflicts.

– Connection via switch/company LAN: The PC and a
Forum Gateway 560 can also be indirectly connected via a switch or to
the company LAN. Only switch on the respective Forum Gateway 560 you
wish to configure.

In order to be able to start the web interface of the booter with a PC
browser, the PC requires a suitable IP address configuration. Under
Windows you have to log on as administrator and execute the following
steps.

– Open the

Control Panel

and navigate to the

Network and Sharing

Center

. Click on the

View Status

button next to the active LAN

connection entry (e.g. “Local Area Connection”).

– Click on the

Properties

button in the

Local Area Connection Status

dialogue. Confirm the user account control query with

Continue

.

– Click on the

Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

element in the

Local Area Connection Status

dialogue. Click on the

Properties

button.
