6.4 Keypad
The keypad consists of four membrane key buttons. These buttons have
different functions, depending on whether or not the analyzer is in the menu
system. Combination button presses result in varied functionality dependent
on the current screen.
On program initialization, power up, or reboot, the analyzer detects key
combinations that enable access to the various menus and screens.
These buttons also allow configuration information to be added.
6.4.1 Single Button Presses
UP button: In menus this button is used to display the next higher selection
from a list of options or to increase a numeric value. Outside the menu system
this button changes to an alternate display mode.
DOWN button: In menus this button is used to display the next lower
selection from a list of options or to decrease an analog value. Outside the
menu system this button changes to an alternate display mode.
ENTER button: In menus this button is used to select a menu or select a
displayed option, or to toggle a value. In normal display screens, ENTER
forces the analyzer immediately on-line from a purge. In the event screen,
ENTER clears any events.
6.4.2 Dual Button Presses
When performing a multiple button keypress, press and hold the CTRL button
before pressing any other button. If the CTRL button is not pressed first, the
function of the other button will supersede the dual button press. For example,
the control button must be pressed first before the ENTER button is pressed.
CTRL then ENTER: This button combination provides an escape from the
currently selected menu to the menu level above.
CTRL + DOWN: This button combination places the analyzer in Program
mode and enters the Service screen from the Main Menu. It also provides a
quick exit from the setup and service screens back to the Main Operating
screen.
6.5 Status Indicators
The three light emitting diodes (LEDs) on the control panel indicate the
analyzer status. Maintenance events cause the LED to be lit solid. Fault
events cause the LED to be lit intermittently (flash).

A1 Alarm 1 setpoint
When lit, this indicates that the TOC (or TC) concentration has exceeded the limit set for
Alarm level 1 (see
section 5.2.1 on page 63 ).
A2 Alarm 2 setpoint
When lit, this indicates that the TOC (or TC) concentration has exceeded the limit set for
Alarm level 2 (see
section 5.2.1 on page 63 ).

Illuminates when one or more maintenance or fault event occurs in the analyzer. Specific event causes are listed in
section 8.7 and section 8.8 on page 145 . Some common causes of events are dirty windows in the IR cell, sample
flow failure, and failure of the analyzer to calibrate.
