5.2.6.1 Map Analog Outputs
Each of the two analog outputs can be mapped to one of the
following variables:
Range ID:
Range ID allows monitoring the analyzer's current analog output range.
This is necessary if autoranging is selected
Fault ID:
Fault ID allows the online, offline, maintenance, and fault status of the
analyzer to be monitored on the analog output. The following convention
is used:
For status codes, fault IDs, and fault
codes, refer to
section 8.3 on
page 132 .
Latched mg/L 1:
Latched mg/L measures carbon concentration and holds the last valid online
reading when the instrument is taken offline.
Zero mg/L 1:
Zero mg/L forces all output to zero when offline. Tracks TOC when online.
Gas ppm:
The CO
2
gas ppm may be output from zero to full scale, linearized, and the IR
cell temperature may be directed to the analog output.
Live mg/L:
Live mg/L measures carbon concentration, even during offline periods,
allowing the output to track the single sample, calibrations standards, etc.
Temperature:
The IR cell output may be tracked on the analog output (0 –100 °C)
Zero to Span:
Normally only used for fault finding
Slope:
The rate of change of mg/L/sec.

Range 4 16 mA
Fault ID Fault Description
4 mA Online.
8 mA
Out of service (the analyzer is offline, purging, cleaning,
calibrating, or in the Service screens).
12 mA Maintenance request, e.g., an attempt at calibration has failed.
16 mA Fault.
