Cleaning the Gas Liquid Separator (GLS)
The voltage will only read 4.75 V at
sea level elevation.
Rechecking the Zero and Span Adjustments
After completing the span adjustment, it is recommended that the zero
adjustment be rechecked because there is an interaction between the
adjustments. You may have to successively apply the zero and span gas and
go back and forth between the zero and span adjustments a few times to
achieve proper final adjustments.
This requirement will be more pronounced when the zero and span settings
require major readjustment.

Cleaning the Gas Liquid Separator (GLS)
Caution: If the analyzer has not
been flushed with DI water for
20 minutes, some acid and
persulfate will still be in the
intake tubes and the peristaltic
tubes. The acid and persulfate
may spray out when the tubes
are removed for pump and tube
servicing. Use extreme caution!
for
Spanish, French, German, or
Italian translations.
Before servicing the GLS, pumps and lamps must be OFF. Disconnect
the power to the relays before opening the analyzer enclosure doors.
1.
Remotely disconnect all power to the analyzer.
2.
Disconnect the GLS from the analyzer by unfastening the four finger-tight
connectors and sliding it downward.
3.
Remove accumulated sediment by inverting the GLS. Flush with a DI
water from a squeeze bottle if necessary. Remove algae accumulations
with a cotton swab and DI water.

Replacing a UV Lamp

been flushed with DI water for
20 minutes, some acid and
persulfate will still be in the
intake tubes and the peristaltic
tubes. The acid and persulfate
may spray out when the tubes
are removed for pump and tube
servicing. Use extreme caution!

1.
Before replacing a UV lamp, remove power to the analyzer and to the
relays. If the lamp has been powered recently, it may be hot. Use gloves
or finger cots to remove it.
2.
To remove the UV lamp assembly from the analyzer, disconnect the
tubing from the UV manifold and unplug the cables. Loosen the two
socket head cap screws and release the two captive screws shown in
. Lift the lamp assembly from the analyzer.
3.
Remove the access cover from the UV lamp assembly by unfastening the
M4 screws (
, item
). The lamps are now
accessible (
Note: The number of M4 screws on the access cover varies with the number of lamps
in the assembly.
4.
Remove the tubing connectors. Slide the interlocking sections
apart horizontally.
5.
Complete lamp removal by unfastening the clamps that hold the lamp in
the housing and disconnecting the electrical supply by removing the two
wire-nuts associated with each lamp.
