Using a different
dossier printer
ID-4000 systems equipped with the dossier option are set
up to print dossiers on a laser printer. If you replace the
laser printer with another brand or model, you must also
use the following procedure to change the printer driver
used by the ID-4000 to print dossiers. Failure to change
the driver may prevent dossiers from printing correctly
on the replacement printer.
Changing the dossier printer driver

Log out of the ID-4000 system by choosing the Exit
button until the Log In dialog box appears, then
choosing Quit.
The Windows Program Manager window appears when
you quit.

Install the laser printer and the necessary Windows
driver for the printer according to the instructions with
the printer and “Installing and Configuring a Printer” in
Chapter 6 of
Microsoft Windows User’s Guide.

Turn off and restart the ID-4000 computer to display the
ID-4000 program group in the Windows Program
Manager.
