If you know your system requires remote diagnostics,
you can save time by taking the following steps before
you call for service:
1
If the ID-4000 application is running, log out by choosing
the Exit button until the ID-4000 Log In dialog box
appears.
2
Choose the Quit button to close the ID-4000 application
and display the Windows Program Manager window.
If the system is not running, turn it on as described in
Chapter 3 and wait for the Windows Program Manager
window to appear.
3
Exit from Windows with one of these methods:
•
Double click on the Control-menu box (in the upper left
corner of the Program Manager window), then choose
the OK button in the Exit Windows dialog box.
•
Press ALT+F4, then choose the OK button in the Exit
Windows dialog box.
•
Pull down the Windows Program manager File menu,
choose Exit Windows, then choose the OK button in the
Exit Windows dialog box.
When you exit from Windows, the C-prompt (C:) appears
on the display.

If your ID-4000 system normally is connected to a
network, verify that your network drivers are loaded. (If
you use a Novell network, for example, your drivers are
IPX and NETX. See your system administrator if you do
not know how to load the drivers.)
