Working with text records
Each ID-4000 text record contains text data (identification
number, name, department, etc.) for a single applicant.
The ID-4000 permits you to perform the following
operations with applicant text records:
•
Create a new text record (enter data for an applicant who
currently has no record in the system)
•
Retrieve and view a record
•
Edit a record
•
Save a record
•
Delete a record
Creating a new text
record
Use the steps below to create a text record for an
applicant who does not have a record stored on the
system. If the current applicant already has a record on
the system (or if you do not know whether the applicant
has a record), go to
Retrieving an existing text record on
page 4-8.
Note: If you are processing a person who does not have
a record in the system, you must create a text record for
that person before you can capture his or her portrait or
signature.
