Capturing a portrait
Use the following steps to capture a portrait with the
ID-4000 portrait camera:

Choose the Print button or the Capture button after
creating, retrieving or editing the applicant’s text record
as described in
Issuing a new badge, Reissuing a badge,
or
Capturing images only in Chapter 4.

Wait for the portrait camera Capture dialog box to
appear.

Seat the applicant in front of the camera and help them
obtain a pleasing pose in the Capture window.
If the applicant has a dark complexion, brighten the
portrait by choosing the Brighten checkbox.

When the applicant is posed as desired, choose the
Freeze button to capture the portrait.
If the captured portrait is unsatisfactory for any reason,
you can choose Live to return to a live image. Then
repose the applicant and choose Freeze again.

When the portrait is satisfactory, choose OK to continue
with the badge-issuing or image-capturing sequence.
