HANDLING ALARMS
Each alarm must be handled individually. Some are resolved simply
by waiting until the situation creating the alarm has completed its
cycle. (e.g., ALARM 1, System Initialization.) Others require operator
or technician intervention.
Each alarm is generated with a
number
which can be referenced in
the alarm list to learn more about the particular alarm. This may help
those responsible for the maintenance of the system to find and
correct the problem in a timely manner.
If an operator or technician touches the Light Bulb icon to
acknowledge the current alarm, the alarm may clear. Based on the
severity of an alarm and the alarms parameters, processing may be
halted. If processing is terminated due to the alarm, the system will
remain shut down until the problem is resolved, even though the
operator touches the Light Bulb icon and clears the alarm.
The following pages contain a list of all the alarms built into the
standard DSS-200 Series II, Series IIi, Synergy, and Integra systems
for all options. Integra systems do not use all of the alarms.
Use the information contained in this chapter to determine the cause
of alarms and to aid in correcting them.
