Setting as Slave Function

The slave function can be enabled by the setting on the
Slave Function
Tab Page.
IMPORTANT
To enable the slave function, select the device and select
Device - Property
. Select the
Enable
Slave
Function
Option in the CS/CJ-series DeviceNet Unit Properties Dialog Box.
Use the following procedure to set the slave function.
1.
Click the
Slave Function
Tab.
2.
The following window will be displayed.

Specify a connection.
The default setting is
Auto Connection
. Click the
User Setup
Option to set a connection.
4.
Set the I/O areas to use for remote I/O communications.
Set the areas, start words, allocated sizes for input (Slave to Master) and output (Master to Slave).
If the
User Setup
Option is selected, set all the connections to be used.
Up to 2 connections can be set.
IMPORTANT
•
COS
and
Cyclic
cannot be set at the same time.
• If both a poll and COS connection or both a poll and cyclic connection are used, the output settings for both
connections must be the same.
