Operating with a Header
The M155 Self-Propelled Windrower is designed to operate with a MacDon A-Series Auger Header, R-Series Rotary
Header, or D-Series Rigid Draper Header with or without a Hay Conditioner.
This section describes the attachment and detachment procedures and operating instructions for these header types.
4.4.1
Header Safety Props
Safety props are located on both header lift cylinders on the windrower.
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury from fall of raised header, always engage safety props when working on or around
raised header, and before going under header for any reason.
Engage safety props as follows:
1. Start engine and press header up (A) switch to raise
header to maximum height.
2. Rephase cylinders if one end of the header does not
raise fully. If rephasing is required, proceed as follows:
a. Press and hold the header up (A) switch until both
cylinders stop moving.
b. Continue to hold the switch for 3–4 seconds.
Cylinders are now phased.
