Breath detection accuracy may be enhanced by increasing or decreasing the
waveform sensitivity.

The lower the value, the greater the sensitivity.

Relearning the respiration pattern

NOTE

PDM and TRAM only.

If the patient’s breathing pattern changes after the initial learning process has taken
place, it may be necessary to relearn. There is no respiration rate displayed during the
relearning process. When relearning is complete, the

Relearn Respiration

message

will clear and the respiration rate will be displayed. The detection threshold and the
waveform size update after the new respiration pattern is learned.
