Description of the zero point return operation:
1.
When the ZRN instruction is executed, accelerate to Zero point return speed
S
1
and start to
move; Y10 and Y11 will use S2 as the initial frequency. For the ELC-PV and ELC-PH series,
the accel/decel time is set by Y10 (D1343) and Y11 (D1353).
2.
When the Near point signal (DOG) goes from OFF to ON, it will decelerate to the Creep speed
S
2
according to the accel/decel time setting (D1343 and D1353).
3.
When the Near point signal (DOG) goes from ON to OFF and the pulse output stops, 0 will be
written to Y10, the current pulse value (D1337, D1336), Y11 current pulse value (D1339,
D1338), Y12 current pulse value (D1375,D1376), and Y13 current pulses value (D1377,
D1378) in ELC-PV series. 0 will also be written to Y10 current pulse value (D1348,D1349) or
Y11 current pulse value (D1350,D1351) in ELC-PH series.
4.
When the Near point signal (DOG) goes from On to Off and the reset signal flag M1346=On,
Y10 (CH0), Y11 (CH1) , Y12 (CH2) and Y13 (CH3) in the ELC-PV series will send a reset
signal.
5.
For the ELC-PV series, when the pulse output is completed and M1029, M1030, M1036 and
M1037 are enabled, flag M1336 will be reset for the CH0 pulses, M1337 for CH1, M1522 for
CH2 and M1523 for CH3. For the ELC-PH series, when the pulse output is completed, M1102
and M1103 will be enabled.
6.
The instruction can not search the position of the Near point signal (DOG) and the operation of
the ZRN instruction can only be processed in one direction. For the ZRN instruction, the pulse
value register (D1337,D1336) for Y10 or the pulse value register (D1339,D1338) for Y11 will
decrease in the ELC-PV series; the pulse value register (D1348, D1349) for Y10 or the pulse
value register (D1350, D1351) for Y11 will also decrease in ELC-PH series.

This instruction is applicable to the Servo motor equipped with the absolute positioning
function, such as Mitsubishi MR-J2-A Servo drive. It can record the current position even when
the power is OFF. Because the current position of the servo drive can be read by API 155 the
DABSR instruction in the ELC-PH/PV series , the ZRN instruction should only be executed for
one time.
